The Main Club House is the heart of the club. It overlooks the Apapa shipping terminal and is only minutes away from Victoria Island and Ikoyi. It has several fleets of sailboats which include the Hobie 16, GP, Tarpon and Lightning. There are also several member owned boats including a Hobie Wildcat and Laser.

Hungry? The main clubhouse menu has a mouthwatering selection of some of the most delicious dishes in town. The sumptuous meals prepared by our world-class chefs can please the faddiest of appetites. Be sure to try our famous Tiger Prawns or have a pizza while sipping on a Rock Shandy.

The Bartender at our clubhouse has a potion for every emotion. At his disposal are soulful cocktails, fun mock-tails, a wide selection wines and whiskies that will lift your spirit and leave you wanting more. Enjoy watching a game or two on the high definition flat screen televisions placed all around the bar or challenge your friends to a fun game of 8-ball at our swanky pool table.

The Kids Play area is conveniently located to the side of the main clubhouse with swings and also a play gym for the younger children. Kids will be drawn towards the popcorn machine that stands out prominently in the play area.

Ogogoro Beach is located bang in the middle of the Lagos harbor on Ogogoro Island. The weather here is pleasant and perfect for sailing. It is very popular among beach goers and provides a great “get away” from the city.

It is the home for the Hobie Fleet. With a beach side bar, double level hut, BBQ facilities, washrooms, showers, sun beds and a picnic table, it is the perfect place to spend a nice afternoon relaxing with friends.

Tarkwa Bay Beach houses the private Beach Hut exclusive to LYC members. Enjoy the convenience of a private area separated from the crowd within Tarkwa bay and savor the time you spend here with friends and family. Tarkwa bay has a concrete beach hut, BBQ facilities, washrooms, showers and picnic tables. You can even stroll down to the beach from the hut to enjoy the waves and even try your hand at some surfing.

On the days with an outgoing tide, our cruising sailors usually chose to sail to Tarkwa Bay. Riding the tide to Tarkwa Bay normally doesn’t take longer than 30 minutes. Tarkwa Bay is situated at the Western side of the Harbor entrance separated from the main Harbor by a low training mole.

If you’re worried about how to get to these places, don’t worry. Club motor boats regularly ferry members to and fro, from the main club to Ogogoro and Tarkwa Bay.
